I am a highly qualified, experienced teacher and tutor with master's degrees from Lesley University in both General and Special Education. I received my bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary, majoring in Art with a Spanish minor. As a member of my high school Honor Society, I began tutoring other students in math. During college, I worked quite a bit with elementary students; I substituted in ESL and Special Needs classrooms, tutored students, and taught religion classes. I also helped college students with Spanish. Since then, I have gained more experience with middle school students, teaching mathematics, Spanish, and Special Education. My tutoring subjects include any areas from first through eighth grade (phonics, reading, grammar, math, science, and study skills), Art, Spanish, and test preparation. In addition, I can assist Special Needs students.My approach to tutoring is to teach students to love learning, as this is the key to progress. I can adapt to visual, auditory, or interactive learning preferences of students. I always select the suitable teaching method to match my student's type of learning and avoid unnecessary frustration for the student.In my free time, I like to be outdoors, paint, cook, and dance.
